Founded in 2021 by Mabel Namakula, Miss Curvy International is an annual beauty contest that empowers curvy and plus-size women to reclaim their confidence, celebrate their beauty, and challenge the stigma surrounding body shaming.

As someone who overcame personal battles with body shaming and its devastating effects on mental health, this platform was created to inspire others and foster a world where every woman feels celebrated, regardless of size.

In just four years, Miss Curvy International has grown into a vibrant movement that transcends borders.

With participants from Uganda, US, Angola, Senegal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Turkey, and beyond, it has become a celebration

of cultural diversity and body positivity.

WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

As a certified cosmetologist, hairstylist, cultural advocate, events promoter, and philanthropist and having personally experienced body stigmatization I was inspired to create a platform that challenges conventional beauty standards.

Miss Curvy International is more than just a beauty pageant as it is a global movement that celebrates women empowerment, cultural pride, diversity and inclusivity. We are committed to amplifying the voices of curvy & plus size women, championing cultural appreciation, and promoting diversity on an international stage.

Eligibility

Contestants must be female and at least 18 years of age by the date of the event.

Contestants must reside in Germany or be able to travel to Germany at their own expense.

Contestants must not have any active contracts or obligations that would conflict with participation in this event.

Registration & Participation

Registration must be completed before 28th/January/2026

A non-refundable registration fee of €250 must be paid to confirm participation.

Contestants agree to attend rehearsals, fittings, and media sessions as scheduled by the organizers.

Contestants are required to conduct themselves with respect, professionalism, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

All participants must register using the official form and provide accurate personal details.

Judging & Awards

Winners will be selected by a qualified panel of judges based on beauty, confidence, talent, and stage presence.

The judges’ decision is final and cannot be contested.

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

Overall Winner: €1,000

1st Runner-up: €500

2nd Runner-up: €300

Prizes are non-transferable and must be claimed in person.

Media & Publicity

By registering, contestants grant Afro Connect Entertainment the right to use their name, images, videos, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the event.

Contestants may be required to participate in press conferences, photo sessions, and interviews before and after the event.

Disqualification

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any contestant who:

Provides false information during registration,

Engages in misconduct, inappropriate behavior, or breach of the competition rules,

Fails to attend required rehearsals or scheduled activities.
