Who We Are
Afro Connect Entertainment is a cultural movement founded in 2013 by Mabel Namakula in Germany to promote talent, champion cultural integration, and empower communities through events, sports, arts education, skills clinics, and purposeful giving.
What began as a vision to unite people through culture has grown into a vibrant platform that celebrates diversity, builds bridges across communities, and uplifts voices often left unheard. Over the years, Afro Connect has successfully organized numerous events across different German cities, each one anchored in our mission to celebrate culture and connect communities.
From the Empress Cup football tournament, which unites communities on the field, to Miss Curvy International Germany, which champions body positivity and women’s empowerment, and our flagship Culture Connect Festival in Stuttgart, we create safe, collaborative, and intimate spaces where culture, talent, and unity shine.

Our Founder
Mabel Namakula, born in Uganda, raised in Kampala, and now based in Germany as a German citizen, is the founder of Afro Connect Entertainment, a cultural movement dedicated to promoting talent, championing cultural integration, and empowering communities through events, sports, arts education, skills clinics, and purposeful giving in Germany. Driven by her passion for community and inclusion, she created Afro Connect Entertainment to serve as a bridge between cultures, celebrating differences while nurturing unity.
Through her leadership, Afro Connect has become a platform where art, music, and creativity bring people together, breaking down barriers and encouraging dialogue across communities. Mabel has organized numerous successful events and projects that not only highlight talent but also create spaces where people from different backgrounds can connect, learn, and celebrate together.
Her work extends beyond entertainment; it carries a strong charitable mission, supporting initiatives that uplift women, youth, and vulnerable communities. By combining cultural expression with social impact, Mabel has positioned herself as a leading advocate for integration and empowerment in Germany.
